--- Too funny. But proves what some have always known - Colin never had sufficient conscience to be anything but a Republican. Had he not been canned the fool would have hung around another 4 years, ramrodding bull for BushCo. God, his mama named him so appropriately.

General Powell started his rise to prominence in Viet Nam. He was the public relations officer in Americal assigned with the task of covering up the My Lai massacre and associated war crimes. He did a "helluva job" at this and guaranteed his advancement.

Fast forward to February 4, 2003 when Colin Powell addressed the UN Security Council and proferred dozens of reasons why Saddam Hussein was an absolute menace. Within days an altie journalist had compiled a list of 38 lies that Powell told that day. White lies, black lies and outright whoppers.
I expect that some intrepid investigative journalist from the Washington Post will breathlessly write about this in a well advertised book in the decade after Powell passes and make a mint for being such a courageous truth teller.
And the beat goes on.
Known in my house as "Me Lie" Powell.
I really should not have said "be anything but a Republican." I know a few who have some conscience, I think. Perhaps "sock puppet" would work better.
