Obama put lipstick on a pig in Lebanon, Virginia.
Of course Barack knew his audience would associate the remark with Palin - the audience response is evidence of that. Of course Obama knew lipstick/pig is a common phrase, which would give him plausible denial when the McCain camp jumped on the comment, which of course he knew they would.
What irritates me more with this clip is Obama's lapsing into his street cred pose - the enunciation of policy as "paw-luh-cee" and worse each time he says it, and the slight slouch and bounce in his posture - but maybe that's how folks in Virginia like their deliverance.

but, to this 40-something suburbanite, it's just ghetto.
if O had grown up in the city, i would ignore it.
but he didnt.
supposed to be all ivy league and mid america/hawaii and such, so i know its just a parrot act.
