Stay The Course

March 4, 2005 - Britain to pull 5,500 troops out of Iraq. Defence chiefs are planning to reduce the size of the British military force in Iraq from 9,000 to 3,500 troops within 12 months as part of a phased withdrawal from Iraq, The Telegraph can reveal.

July 5, 2005 - Britain planning major Iraq troop pull-out. London: Britain's defence ministry has drafted plans for a significant troop withdrawal from Iraq over the next 18 months and a big deployment to Afghanistan, the Financial Times reported on Tuesday.

July 7, 2005 - Al-Qaeda' group linked to London blasts. A group calling itself "Secret Organization — al-Qaeda in Europe" has posted a claim of responsibility for the series of blasts in London, a German magazine reported Thursday. Der Spiegel magazine reported that the group posted its message on a Web site popular with Islamic militants, which it did not name. It said the group claimed the explosions were in retaliation for Britain's involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Guess phony Tony will have to stay the course now.

how did the Israeli pm get advance warning not to make his speech at one of the blast sites? The english police said they were warned ahead of time by the Israelis.

Mossad? Cia? Kind of like Odigo warning. The Israelis will claim Scotland Yard or Ms Cleo warned them, and then the question will go away.
