We the undersigned …

… believe that Israel’s military operation to remove Hezbollah from southern Lebanon is a correct and legitimate response to the creation of an armed force accountable to Syria and Iran residing within the boundaries of Lebanon and using Lebanese territory to engage in cross-border warfare.

As American defense professionals, we view events in the Middle East through the prism of American security interests, in which regard we make two points:

First, the problem of militias and non-state actors operating in sovereign country is precisely the same as that faced by American and coalition forces in Iraq. The militias and foreign fighters facing our troops are also supported by Iran and Syria.

Second, we have a particular interest in the demise of Hezbollah.

Kate,

Thanks for pointing out that eye-opening JINSA letter. I thought I was pretty jaded about just how deeply the Israeli fangs have been sunk into the American hide, but this letter and the fact that it could attract 54 signatories from the U.S. military elite is, for me as a patriot, quite alarming.

While much of the American media and public are distracting themselves with Patsy's patsy, it seems to me that there is a fascinating murder mystery wrapped in a suicide story folded in a fable featuring fabulous Firenze. The Adamo Bove story fascinates me. I'll bet you'll find this intriguing as well:

Ray,
Your mention of Bove in Naples has created quite the trail of seaching on my end.

I typically pay less attention to these "body count" distractions in the world of spies and politics. The bodies are almost always small potatoes, or a big political potato on a rare occasion.

However, this has generated a post I'm working on and hope to put up today. I lean toward the KISS principle when it comes to the ruling elite and believe they need us to think they operate in a mysterious maze of intrigue and puzzles. When in reality everything comes down to a straight line to the coinage.
