Testing Obama

BIDEN: "Mark my words. It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We're about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America," Biden was quoted telling a fundraiser in Seattle on Sunday. "Remember I said it standing here, if you don't remember anything else I said. Watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy."

---- Only thing is ... Obama is no JFK and the "tester" will not be Nikita K.

The testing ground will be over Israel, and unlike the USSR, the testers today are willing, even eager, to go up in flames.

Grab your duct tape and plastic and get ready for the big one.

Kate,
The next WORLD WAR will be for WATER

Hi Syd
I'm not convinced yet of the war for water, that may be the excuse the people are sold.

While we may be trashing and polluting the planet I think mother earth is more bountiful than "leaders" would have us believe - always claiming peak oil, peak this, shortage of that.

Mark Twain said "Whiskey is for drinking, water is for fighting over." Same game, just updated "logic" for hi-tech man.

I also buy very little of the "climate" boogeyman. I've watched that money making scheme morph from global cooling to global warming to the new catch all "climate change."

Regardless what rhyme or reason the leaders put on war, wars are fought for one reason - profit, filling the coffers of the kings and their merry men.

Hi Kate,

This is off the subject but I wanted to post it. In one of your article I posted something to the effect of wondering if Palin would go to Hollywood if she did not make it to the White House. Take a look at this:

anon,
Good catch.

Palin was a sportscaster ... still I think we'll see more of her in politics than Hollowood. Unless she is more air-headed than I think - which could well be the case. I'm never sure which is more phony - politicians or stars.

Maybe she will be able to balance both worlds. Sounds pretty exciting to me.

I would do it if the opportunity came to me

Hi Kate,

Correction on Palin & Hollywood. After reading a few things on her, maybe she is able to bring in some numbers now as far as viewers because she is a VP candidate. But I wonder if that would translate once she is no longer vying for that position if she doesn't make it onto Pennsylvania Avenue. As a lot of most of the stuff I read on her is negative.

Palin fails the test for talking heads - she doesn't have the mandatory permanent Rocky Balboa sneer like Greta Vansusteren, Rachel Maddow, etc.

I see so many pundits talking out of one side of their mouths that I wonder if it's become a normal human mutation.
