Open Says Me
Open thread if anyone has anything on any subject. I plan on being in the garden as much as possible this weekend. Although I may be rained out as more storms are threatening our area (TN/MO). The last one roared through a few days ago but missed us by 14 miles, and tonight thunder rumbles.

watch out for blisters and skinned knees.
This is unbelievable except it is the KGB(Karl roves Good Buddys} in action.

bg,
This story is making its way around the leftoblogosphere.
Really hard to imagine a TA in an orange vest being bossy with Homeland SS officers. Hard to imagine an SS officer identifying himself and then grabbing Leander to humiliate and rough him up in front of scores of witnesses.
Easy to believe the "victim" will sue as that is a natural instinct in Americans.
I think the op-erative phrase in the story is "If this is Homeland Security, I think we ought to be a little afraid."
:)
After some of the things I have heard from someone with first hand knowledge of these people I am not surprised. I have been told most of them could not pass the screening test to weed out "heroes, idiots, mental cases, and just plain jerks" that are used by legitimate law enfocement orginizations.
bg,
It may be hard to weed out "heroes, idiots, mental cases, and just plain jerks" b/c that describes a great deal of the population.
Looking at the atrocities of Diallo, Louima, King, and others I'd say that little screening test doesn't do law enforcement much good either. I know my local BarneyFife's and Ramboish cops would fit well under mental cases and idiots.
Some of my best friends are cops (no cliche intended) and I know they are jerks, most of the time. A badge and gun can often make little weenies feel like big foot long hot dogs.
