I have no problem accepting that story. For a couple of decades now I find the obvious connections between the powerful ruling Anglo-global elite so intertwined it's boggling. And I think if truth were known, we'd be shocked and awed.
I do think I've read a similar scenario regarding the US/Britain during the Revolutionary War. That Britain still owns the US, more or less. The US simply a big money maker for the throne and European interests.
For sure nothing bad became of the wealthy families that initially backed and gave Hitler his power. They, their spawn, or their proteges still behind the same game.
My DIY garden and new patio is becoming quite the project. But I am enjoying it.
I just read an interesting comment over on Daily Kos that reminded me of this thread.
Read the one comment and then the reply, which I think is very perceptive:

...but convenient. There are many power players in the world that are playing a game for fun and profit. The tension between the U.S. and Iran benefits a number of people who are leveraging the issue for their own short term interests. I think there is some minimal orchestration--it's sort of like jazz--there's a basic theme set by the very powerful and then the rest of the musicians riff on the score."

I agree somewhat with the reply's sentiments - but would say there is much more than "minimal orchestration."
I also think it's not simply for "short-term interests" as wealth buys power and power can last many generations. And oil has been the strategic interest at least 100 years.
The tension between Iran/US benefits TPTB - the sheeple are fearful.
Of course we're being gouged, regardless how the talking head pimpsters excuse the price.
The US plays the part of bossman - but it's a conglomerate of global power. Same old same old families for centuries, other than the few new bloods they allow to enter the gene pool. But sometimes I question if they're careful with that aspect as we seem to have quite a few village idiots of late.

Queen Liz, and all the Euro-elite are related by blood or marriage. The royal Brits, the Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, changed their name to Windsor in 1917; all that anti-German sentiment. Queen Liz II made Windsor name official in 1952.

The powers that be stopped beheading/dethroning one another only to position mental dwarfs with giant egos like Hitler and Bush to take the fall for the major wars the bluebloods inflict on the world. They continue to rule as usual and we the people think we're free to choose our "leaders." Best con game I've ever seen.
There were many hands behind Hitler, just as they are with Bush. We see the profiteering of the big corporations, the CEOs rewarded, etc., the happy shareholders, but are not shown that the bulk and balance of the profit/power go to royal houses around the globe.
IBM, Halliburton, Carlyle ... fronts. The receivers of the "trickle down" but a healthy trickle. Below that level, the rest of mankind really doesn't matter to these people, yet the masses believe TPTB want only the best for the little people.
Look around the world at the one-time buddy props - Hitler, Saddam, Noriega, Duarte, Batista, Taylor, Somoza, Pinochet, Idi Amin, Milosevic, Bush, endless list, renewed regularly - while the elite tut-tut and tsk-tsk and claim they are making the best world possible for all of us, they can't help it if IBM or Exxon or KBR make profits (again).
