I'm having the usual spring fever. Clearing the old, the dead, preparing for new life in the garden/yard makes me giddy as a girl nominated for homecoming queen. Doesn't Spring hope eternal?

Yes it does. I've got spinach, beets, and sugar snaps in the ground already (seeds of course). In this part of SE Pennsylvania, "last frost" is May 15; that's when the rest will go in. (Wife handles the flowers.)
...Wonder if that "last frost" date should be adjusted over time with a moving-average. Spring has been moving forward (earlier) in this region during my adult lifetime...

I love fresh spinach, the stomach's broom. Cannot get the grandkids to eat much of it.
Spring seems earlier here too. Could it be the "government controlled weather" that is chatted about? Another theory I haven't put much research time into.
