I laughed and I cried when I watched these - reminded me of (my) Number One Son's tours and tapes. He's out 6 months now and is doing well as a civilian, but I am reminded by this that I still haven't breathed deeply yet.
Mother of five (four in military uniform including daughter-in-law). Grandmother of eleven. Central America (under Reagan/Bush) - Been there, done that. When I was 17 it was a very good year for small town girls....married a Sicilian ....

I'm so glad to hear your son is a civilian now. My 4 are stateside for the moment but expecting to deploy again beginning in January.
#2 son, supposedly leaving MI, did not (long story), and is currently in Maryland - hopefully doing good things for we the people.
I keep extremely busy, and remind myself to take a deep breath.
