Heaven Sent Figureheads

After Ahmadeinejad's recent visit to Columbia, more than a few "progressive" sites wrote favorably of the Iranian leader, claiming Ahmad sounds reasonable. I was particularly disappointed to read this from a favored site: Ahmadinejad Sane, Bush Crazy

Now really people, think about it. Have you read Ahmad's interviews and speeches? Can you watch the little rooster's body language and see a shorter, hairier version of Bush Junior (poppy's little loser Bantam, always a son but never a Jeb)?

Ahmadeinejad is to Iran what Bush is to the USA. A puppet who belongs to the ruling class. Another psycho-messy mind sent to deliver pronouncements, lies, threats, promises, and whatever else the Iranian ruling class see as necessary to maintain the status quo. Ahmad is only slightly better at playing a president on television. He ad libs better - unlike the language mangling Bush - if Ahmad mangles his language - how would we know?

How snaky does one have to be to accept an invitation for abuse from an ill-mannered American university and then give a speech which reads as if plagiarized from progressive blogs and bumper stickers; to ask for a sightseeing tour at ground zero while MOIS runs covert ops in Iraq against US troops?

You think Iran doesn't have its own torturing, murdering Ministry of Intelligence? (Known as MOIS.) You think they don't run the same sort of dirty little ops as the CIA, Mossad, MI6?

How much do you know about and when was the last time you saw Mrs. Ahmadinejad? That's what I thought. Per Ahmad, there are no homosexuals in Iran, and apparently no political wives either.

Ahmad has boasted the Imam gave him the presidency for a single task: provoking a "clash of civilizations" in which the Muslim world, led by Iran, takes on the "infidel" West, led by the United States, and defeats it in a slow but prolonged contest that, in military jargon, sounds like a low intensity, asymmetrical war. Does that sound any saner than Bush who phoned the Charismatic preacher James Robison, and tells him, "I've heard the call. I believe God wants me to run for president." More than once Bush has made reference to God placing him in power for a reason.

Both men when necessary attempt to present a phony "I come in peace" image. Both men are dangerously crazy - following orders on the world stage – but more dangerous are those folks who think either of them are ruled by reason.

Can we hope the sheople of Iran distrust their political leaders as much as America distrusts its leaders? And if they trust their leaders, or if you trust their leaders, - then what?

Yes, indeed!

The Shah was toppled by the CIA. No doubt some of Iran's present leadership are working for the CIA.

Saddam Hussein was trained and put into power by the CIA. He offered to leave Iraq before the present war started. Suharto and Marcos were put into power by the CIA and toppled by the CIA.
